COLEEN Rooney has gone to hospital - where she is said to have made husband Wayne a proud dad by giving birth, the News of the World can reveal.
A heavily-pregnant Coleen was taken to Liverpool's Women's Hospital earlier today - and pals are claiming The Rooney's became proud parents soon after 1pm.

There has been no official confirmation of the birth, but an annoucement his expected later today. Friends of the couple are already celebrating.

Last week the News of the World told how Coleen had snubbed a £1 MILLION deal with a glossy mag for pictures of her and Wayne's baby.

The WAG made the decision because she wants their child to be kept OUT of the spotlight completely.

She was determined to have her first baby naturally and chose Liverpool Women's Hospital - an NHS Trust six miles from where they grew up in Croxteth - for the birth.

The baby was due on October 24, Rooney's 24th birthday, the couple had revealed Coleen was expecting their first child in April.

This season there’ll be a new young fan cheering on Man United at Old Trafford – Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s eagerly-awaited first child.

Excited mum-to-be Coleen reveals: “I love going to the home games and I’ll definitely still be going once we have the baby.

“Other people take babies to Old Trafford – there’s a place inside where you can go and there’s a little crèche too – so when the baby is a bit older it will be nice for him or her to get to know the other players’ children.”

Coleen and Wayne’s child is due in October. Coleen has been busy preparing a nursery at the couple’s Cheshire home, painting it in neutral colours as they have decided not to find out if the baby is a boy or girl.

In her first interview about their baby, she says: “It’s quite hard because you can’t plan. For the first five months I didn’t buy a thing because I didn’t know what to buy – whether it was blue or pink! So I’ve stuck to white things and once the baby comes I can go and get some pink or blue stuff as well.”

Coleen has revealed she was so excited to discover she was pregnant she did TEN home pregnancy tests just to make sure. And it was only when a doctor confirmed the news she finally accepted it was actually true.

“I did loads of tests,” Coleen says. “I bought one test that actually said how many weeks you were pregnant. The first time it said one to two weeks but I did another few tests just because I couldn’t really believe it.

“Obviously I was over the moon but it was weird because I didn’t expect to be pregnant for some reason, so when it came up positive I was quite shocked.

“Then I went to the doctor and got them to test me, to make sure that I really was pregnant. After that I finally believed it, but every week I still did another test just to see if it went up week by week!”

Coleen and Wayne, both 23, got married just over a year ago and there has been a lot of speculation about how quickly they would start a family.

But Coleen reveals that they were both worried that parenthood might never happen for them. Coleen’s mum Colette needed medical help to fall pregnant and Coleen feared the problems might be hereditary.

Speaking for the first time about her fears, she says: “People just take it for granted sometimes that they can have children but you can’t always. My mum suffered for seven years trying to have me.

“She went through operation after operation and had me after taking fertility drugs and sometimes I thought that could have happened to me. I wondered if it ran in the family. So I’m just made up I’m pregnant now. I feel very lucky that I can have children and hopefully I’ll have a healthy baby.”

Although the arrival of her first baby is understandably dominating her thoughts right now, level-headed Coleen has not abandoned her work commitments – and is showing little sign of slowing down yet. In May she launched her latest perfume – a summer fragrance from the Coleenx range.

Her successful fashion guide Coleen’s Real Style is out now in paperback and we meet as she launches her second exclusive jewellery and watch range with Argos.

Coleen, who worked closely with the store’s designers to perfect the collection, explains: “I’ve always loved fashion and clothes. Jewellery and accessories are now a really big part of fashion so I thought it would be great to be involved in designing my own collection.

“Argos gave me their designs and then I modified them based on what I personally liked and what I already wore. It’s been lovely working on them and then actually seeing the product in the Argos catalogue.”

The jewellery costs from £9.99 to £35. “It’s reasonably priced,” Coleen says. “I wanted something affordable and Argos reflects that – they sell affordable ranges. I had to think about the people who would be interested in buying it. I know that kids will be saving their pocket money and you can’t have them saving all year round!”

Not long ago Coleen herself was just an ordinary schoolgirl, saving her own pocket money to buy herself a modest treat.

Today, at 23, she is one of the wealthiest young women in Britain, with a career that has seen her earn more than £10m so far in her own right.

The tale of Coleen Rooney is one of the football world’s most extraordinary success stories. She was only 16 when she met and started dating up-and-coming footballer Wayne on the backstreets of Liverpool.

She was still a shy schoolgirl – famously photographed in her Puffa coat and long socks on the way to lessons – when Wayne became the youngest person to play for England, at 17.

hi girls (i've never been on this thread before- cause i'm not a big fan, but here's her latest column

Our holiday is over now - and I had such a great time.

It was actually hotter in the South of France than it was in Barbados. When I got back I couldn’t believe how many stories were written about me while I was away. It’s unbelievable about what they were saying.

One magazine said: ‘We can reveal that Coleen is having a girl!’ Well, I can tell you, that I don’t even know whether we’re having a boy or a girl, so I don’t know where they got that from.

Then there was another one that said I’m happy with my pregnancy body and another that says I’m not.

To be honest, I couldn’t care less about any of them, it’s all made up stories. Of course, my body is changing a lot at the moment - I can’t believe how much my stomach has grown in just the last month alone!

A while ago, I didn’t even feel pregnant, just that I had put weight on. But my holidays were fab, Barbados was so relaxing and the South of France was so much fun.

I was really shocked to hear about Michael Jackson’s death. Wayne - who has always followed Michael - was really stunned, as he was so young and we all thought he had plenty of time left.

We had been hoping to get a box at one of his shows and were really looking forward to seeing him perform, as he was such a great dancer and all his songs are brilliant. It’s so sad, and we feel really sorry for the family that he has left behind.

The memorial was beautiful. I particularly loved Usher’s performance. It was very moving.

I was surprised to see Shaheen from Britain’s Got Talent – but Michael really liked him. He was amazing and I’m sure he is going to be massive in America. Michael might not be with us any more, but his music will live on forever
