-I'm Nettie, 19, from Estonia.
-I avidly support Manchester United, somewhat less so Real Madrid.
-I've had football in my blood since birth, but didn't take extensive-obsessive interest in it 'til WC06.
-Shoes are my forte, I've got just about a billion pairs and I wear all of them, all the time. Despite the things everyone else says, despite the fact that I look grossly overdressed in the midst of the denim-cutoff booty short-T-shirt-flipflop combinations I see around me every day.
-My best friend loves to call me "Ms. WAG", although I'm about as WAG as a polar bear.
-I have played footy, and that as a keeper and defender.
-I haven't gone with my nails un-painted/not manicured for at least a year and a half straight.

-I just saw my first "big" football match live last Sunday, at least it involved one big team

my name is Winnie and I'm 17 years old.

i grew up in a household of mixed traditions
(Portuguese, Angolan, Brazilian, St. Thomas)

and have always had soccer shoved down my throat

but it was not until after Euro 2004

and the introduction of a young Cristiano Ronaldo (of whom i have two posters in my bedroom) into soccer,

that i truly began to appreciate the sport.

HOWEVER, despite HOW i became a fan of the beautiful game,

i have become much more inteested in all aspects of the sport,

and now consider it to be much more than a hottie-spotting past time.

i have one younger sister,

who is 7, and whom i love despite how anyone she can get

my favourite soccer teams are Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Chelsea

and Portugal of course.

the teams i can't stand are Manchester United

(mostly because of their annoyingly smug fans)

Liverpool (because i just don't like them for some reason...?)

Sporting Clube de Portugal (because i am a Benfica fan)

Tottenham Hotspur (i hate them with a PASSION)

and finally, Barcelona (because i'm a fan of Real Madrid, so it's pretty self explanitory although i do respect them)

my favourite player is Sergio Ramos,

however, i do enjoy the sight of the likes of Miguel Torres, Gerard Pique, and Iker Casillas to name a few.

(yes, i have a thing for the Spaniards)

i love to have my hair done, buy make-up, and have money in my pocket so that I can go shopping whenever i please

some of the things i love to splurge on include clothes, SHOES, make-up (particularly eyeliner), and soccer jerseys.

besides soccer, i also enjoy watching tennis, and my favourite players is Rafael Nadal.

i've turned into a bit of a girly-girl, so of course i don't play sports anymore.

Hello I'm from portugal! I'm new of kickette and ignore the fact that i have no imagem or identity
I found Kickette one or 2 months ago and now do not go off every day to the community blog and clear .. My obsession with football began last year during the Euro2008. already clearly i'm fan and was watching football for many years but recently asked to worship increasingly cause of football players, mainly with Fernando Torres. BUT, in principle, i addicted with some players and after this i'm looking better to nando watching videos on youtube (i love youtube...youtube rocks: P) I thinkk that my parents have no idea that i'm addicted to football and to nando, but also you never know askakssa xD
If you want to know, I'm from Madeira, island where Cristiano Ronaldo was born but I never saw him even when he was there on the Madeira do not let anyone to see and i was not very interested because I am not fan of him ... so like him too but I am anti manchester united (I hate them)
I support Sporting, my club of portugal, but also secretly sometimes i support Liverpool ( the reason is nando of course but i also like other players like gerrard ) .. I also like Arsenal and Barcelona !

I'm from Holland (Yay!) and live about 40 minutes away from Amsterdam (Ajax)to the north and about 20 minutes from Alkmaar (where AZ plays).

I play striker. Absolutely love it.

I played right back, I can kick pretty far but have absolutely no aim (aside from oh look I got the ball to go away from the goal). I did manage to score a freak of a goal one time, it was a bit like Yossi's the other week. Completely weird angle and I'll never be able to replicate it. I stopped playing a few years ago, it just took up a lot of time and the girls league I played for kinda dissolved when we all got really busy with high school and such.

I want to play football, and I want to play right back, and that's also Clemens Fritz's position and my wanting to play right back has NOTHING to do with him. I'm right-footed, have no aim so can't play an offensive position, am too short to play center back, and don't want balls flying at me in goal. Ergo, right back.

That's horrible that they didn't let you play. But I guess it's understandable with the weather and such.

I kinda wanted to get back into Ballet a few years ago, but just never found the time. I wouldnt be committed enough for it, I barely have time to make it to the gym and study for classes as it is.

As for football, the most I got to do was a summer camp before it was decided I shouldnt play. Oh well, what can you do?

And my mom tried to tell me I wouldn't like football when I started playing...haha

Haha I did ballet too but stopped when I was 12..had no more patience to deal with it! I love watching it though and really admire those people like Aianna who can dance ballet...

Yeah did Ballet for about 2 years, quit that, did nothing until basketball, stoppped playing that, now its tennis when the weather is decent and the gym.

I wanted to play football, but my parent were all about being able to watch us play and didnt want me to play becuase they didnt want to sit and watch in the rain or snow. Thanks guys *sarcastic smile*
